Chicken saute with sweet chili sauce ( Ayam tumis sambal manis pedas)

This lunch, i need to cooking and finishing left-over ingredients in refrigerate. Tomorrow, we will fly to Seattle for our second trip and visit my husband family.

Here, I will share the recipe with you and maybe give you some ideas.

What you need :


2 pieces chicken thigh, cube sliced
1 pieces green bell pepper, seeded and diced
1/2 part from 1 pieces big onion, thinly sliced
1 stalk green onion, sliced thinly
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 can or4 onz bamboo shoots 
2 tablespoon sweet chili sauce, i used Mae Ploy Brand 
sugar and salt for taste 
butter or oil for saute
1/3 cup water

--Complements Ingredients :
broccoli, steamed 
green peas, steamed
cucumber, sliced 1/2 x 1/2 inches


Make it :

English version
1. In a hot wok, saute chicken until no longer pink under low heat or for approx 10 min. Set aside.
2. In a same wok, saute garlic and onion with butter until aromatic under low heat or for approx 2-3 min.
3. Add cook chicken, sweet chili sauce, bamboo shoots, and water. Saute gently until simmer and become absorb.
4. Add green onion and green bell pepper, saute gently for another 2 min.
5. Add sugar and salt for taste, let it simmer for another 2 min.
6. Serve with hot steamed rice and vegetables complements.

Indonesia version
1. Didalam wajan, tumis ayam hingga berubah warna kurang lebih 5 menit. Angkat, sisihkan.
2. Didalam wajan, tumis bawang putih+bombay hingga harum dengan menggunakan mentega.
3. Masukkan ayam yang sudah digoreng, saus sambal manis pedas, bamboo shoots, dan air. Aduk rata dan biarkan hingga air meresap selama 5 menit.
4. Tambahkan bawang daun dan paprika, aduk rata dan biarkan selama 2 menit.
5. Tambahkan garam dan gula sebagai perasa, biarkan mendidih selama 2 menit. Angkat.
6. Sajikan bersama bahan pelengkap dan nasi hangat ;-)

Cooking Time : 20 min
