Chicken saute with sweet chili sauce ( Ayam tumis sambal manis pedas)

This lunch, i need to cooking and finishing left-over ingredients in refrigerate. Tomorrow, we will fly to Seattle for our second trip and visit my husband family.

Here, I will share the recipe with you and maybe give you some ideas.

What you need :


2 pieces chicken thigh, cube sliced
1 pieces green bell pepper, seeded and diced
1/2 part from 1 pieces big onion, thinly sliced
1 stalk green onion, sliced thinly
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 can or4 onz bamboo shoots 
2 tablespoon sweet chili sauce, i used Mae Ploy Brand 
sugar and salt for taste 
butter or oil for saute
1/3 cup water

--Complements Ingredients :
broccoli, steamed 
green peas, steamed
cucumber, sliced 1/2 x 1/2 inches


Make it :

English version
1. In a hot wok, saute chicken until no longer pink under low heat or for approx 10 min. Set aside.
2. In a same wok, saute garlic and onion with butter until aromatic under low heat or for approx 2-3 min.
3. Add cook chicken, sweet chili sauce, bamboo shoots, and water. Saute gently until simmer and become absorb.
4. Add green onion and green bell pepper, saute gently for another 2 min.
5. Add sugar and salt for taste, let it simmer for another 2 min.
6. Serve with hot steamed rice and vegetables complements.

Indonesia version
1. Didalam wajan, tumis ayam hingga berubah warna kurang lebih 5 menit. Angkat, sisihkan.
2. Didalam wajan, tumis bawang putih+bombay hingga harum dengan menggunakan mentega.
3. Masukkan ayam yang sudah digoreng, saus sambal manis pedas, bamboo shoots, dan air. Aduk rata dan biarkan hingga air meresap selama 5 menit.
4. Tambahkan bawang daun dan paprika, aduk rata dan biarkan selama 2 menit.
5. Tambahkan garam dan gula sebagai perasa, biarkan mendidih selama 2 menit. Angkat.
6. Sajikan bersama bahan pelengkap dan nasi hangat ;-)

Tom Yum Gai (Hot & Sour Thai Chicken Soup)

What you need :

1 cup chicken, sliced 1/2 inches pieces
2 cup water
1/4 teaspoon ground galangal or 1/2 cm fresh galangal 
1/4 teaspoon  ground ground lemon grass or a stalk fresh lemon grass 
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 cloves shallot, minced
2 stalks green onion, sliced 1/2 inches pieces  
3 pieces kaffir lime leaves
cilantro/coriander leaf as garnish 
2 teaspoon  fish oil 
2 teaspoon  chili paste - as you wish
2 piecesThai chili, chopped - as you wish
Mushroom, sliced
Lime Juice 
Salt and sugar for taste

Note : 1 cup US = 236.58 ml



Make it :

English version
1. In a hot boiled water, put chicken until no longer pink under low heat for approx 10-15 min.
2. Add garlic and red pearl onion. Let it simmer for another 5 minutes.
3. Add kaffir lime leaves, galangal, ginger root, fish oil and mushroom.
4. Let it simmer for another 5 minutes. Add salt and sugar for taste.
5. Place into prepared bowl. Add lime juice and cilantro as garnish then serve hot :-)

Indonesia version

1. Didalam panci, rebus air hingga mendidih, masukkan ayam hingga lunak, angkat, iris tipis kemudian masukkan kembali ke dalam sup.

2. Tambahkan bawang putih+bawang merah. Biarkan mendidih selama 5 menit.

3. Tambahkan daun jeruk nipis, lengkuas, serai,jamur dan fish oil kedalam sup.

4. Biarkan mendidih selama 5 menit.

5. Tambahkan garam dan gula sebagai perasa.

6. Angkat dan sajikan bersama air jeruk nipis dan daun ketumbar sebagai pelengkap.

Black Pepper Beef (Daging sapi lada hitam)

This dish is my fist cooking since i moved in U.S. 
I never cooking before, so this dish are perfect for you as a beginner cooker same like me and quick from preparation until cooking process.

I got this recipe from Chinese Food's book by Mary Winata, i brought this book from Indonesia.

What you need :


- 1/3 cup diced sweet onion
- 1 piece green paprika or you can substitute with jalapeno, seeded and diced
- 2 cloves red pearl onion, thinly sliced 
- 2 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 100 ml water 
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger or 1 cm fresh ginger, brushes
- ground black pepper 
- sugar and salt for taste
- olive oil for saute and fried

--Marinated Ingredients : 
- 200 gram beef, cut into 1x1/2-inches pieces 
- 1 egg, use the white part only
- 1/3 teaspoon ground ginger 
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce

Note : 1 US cup = 236.588237 ml

Make it :

English version
1. Combine and mix marinated ingredients into bowl, refrigerate for 15 min or more.
2. Fried marinated beef until golden brown at both side. Set aside.
3. Meanwhile in a hot wok, saute garlic + ginger and red pearl onion with little bit of oil until aromatic or for approx 2 min under low heat.
4. Add fried beef and water, saute and combine it for 3-5 min.
5. Adjust taste with sugar, pepper and salt.
6. Add paprika and onion, saute continuously and let it dissolve for 3 min.
7. Place into prepared dish and serve with steam broccoli and hot steam rice.

Indonesia version
- Didalam mangkung, campur bumbu perendam dan biarkan dalam lemari es selama 15 menit atau lebih.
- Goreng daging hingga sedikit kecoklatana pada kedua sisinya. Sisihkan.
- Didalam wajan panas, tumis bawang putih, bawang merah dan jahe hingga harum.
- Masukkan daging yg sudah digoreng, aduk rata dan selama 3-5 menit.
- Masukkan garam, gula dan merica sebagai perasa.
- Tambahkan bawang bombay dan paprika, aduk rata hingga bumbu meresap selama 3 menit.
- Matikan api, sajikan bersama rebusan sayur/brokoli dan nasi putih :-)

Cooking Time : 30 min

Stir-Fried Rice Noodles cooked with light sauce

What you need :

Rice Noodles, cooked in hot water then throw the water and drain it.
1 tbsp sambal oeleg
1 pcs Thai chili, sliced - optional
2 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
1/4 cloves onion, thinly sliced
1/2 cup sliced beef
1/2 cup Imitation Crab Meat
2 cup broccoli, steamed for another 1 minutes
butter for saute
coriander leaves, for garnish


Make it :

1. In a hot skillet, add butter then saute garlic and onion until aromatic or for approx 2 minutes under low heat.
2. Add beef and crab meat, saute continuously until beef change the color.
3. Add sambal oeleg and sliced Thai chili, saute.
4. Add noodles and broccoli, combine it, and saute gently for approx 3 minutes.
5. Turn off the heat, serve it with hot steam rice and put coriander leaves as garnish.

String Bean with Tomatoes


I served this side-dishes with Chicken cooked with Coconut Milk and Potatoes or you can serve with another dish.

It so easy and simple to cooked this, and tasty ;-)

Ingredients :

Sting Bean, cleaned then cut the top and end part
4 Tomatoes or cherry Tomatoes, sliced
pepper
salt
olive oil


Directions :
1. Steamed string bean for another 60 seconds.
2. In a tray, put string bean, and tomatoes then add pepper + salt + little bit of olive oil on top of the string bean.
3. Baked for another 15-20 minutes at 350 degree F, until cook enough and crunchy but do not over done.
4. Serve with another meals as side dishes.

Chicken cooked with coconut milk and adding Potatoes ( Kare Ayam plus Kentang )


I try to modified recipe Chicken cooked with Coconut Milk, i add potatoes at this dish.


What you need :

Make it :

After you cook half way the seasoning and put chicken on it, add slice potatoes.
Let it shimmering and gently sauteed until fully cook.

Indonesian Chicken Satay ( Sate Ayam )

What you need :

4 pieces chicken thighs (prefer used boneless and skinless), cube sliced
Sweet soy sauce
Bamboo skewer, let it soak into water for another 1-2 hours before start Barbecue

--Marinated Ingredients (mix it) :
1 tsp ground coriander
1 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
5 cloves garlic, finely minced
1 tsp oil

-- Sauce Ingredients (mix it): 
Sweet soy sauce
Soy sauce
Peanut butter
Thai Chili, sliced (optional)

Note :
This sauce isn't necessary because the satay is tasty from longer marinated. You can skip this sauce. ;-)

-- Complements Ingredients (mix it):
1 pieces Cucumber, diced
1-2 cloves red pearl onion, sliced
1 tbsp white vinegar



Make it :

English Version
1. In a container, add chicken + marinated ingredients, mix it.
2. Let it rest in refrigerator for at least 1 hours before barbecue process.
3. Put and stick 5 pieces or more chicken into bamboo skewer.
4.  In a plate, put remaining seasoning then add with sweet soy sauce.
5. While doing Barbecue, on a half way cooked, spread with remaining seasoning + sweet soy sauce until satay are fully cook.
6. Serve with complement ingredients.

Indonesia version
- Didalam wadah, campurkan ayam dan bumbu sate.
- Masukkan kedalam kulkas dan biarkan selama kurang lebih 1 jam sebelom proses membakar.
- Tusuk dengan sujen 4-5 buah daging ayam.
- Didalam piring, campurkan sisa bumbu dan tambahkan kecap manis.
- Ketika membakar sate, olesi bumbu hingga sate amsak.
- Sajikan bersama pelengkap.

Crispy Fried Calamari with Coriander Leaf ( Cumi Goreng Harum )

What you need :

100 gr squid, cut be a little piece 
lemon lime 
salt
pepper
sugar 
4 pcs coriander leaf or Thai sweet basil 
5 pcs garlic, minced 
2 pcs Thai chili, sliced 
1 pcs red jalapeno, sliced
1 pcs jalapeno, sliced
3 tsp soy sauce 
1 tsp sweet soy sauce 
1 green onion, sliced
4 tsp corn starch or tapioca flour 
olive oil, for saute 
2 pcs kaffir lime leaves

Make it :

English version
- In a bowl, clean squid into clean water, then put squeeze lemon lime juice, let it rest for another 15 minutes.
- Add pepper and salt on top of squids, let it rest for another 15 minutes.
- Wrap with corn starch, put it at refrigerate for another 30 minutes or more. This step will make squid the flour more absorb.
- Fried squid until crispy, set aside.
- Meanwhile, In a hot skillet, saute garlic, kaffir lime leaves and Thai chili with little bit of oil under low heat until aromatic or in approx 5 min.
- Add jalapeno and green onion, saute continuously for approx 5 min.
- Add soy sauce and sweet soy sauce then fried calamari, saute and until cover by seasoning for another 5 minutes.
- Taste with sugar and salt.
- Turn of the heat then add coriander leaves, saute, then serve ;-)

Indonesia version 
- Didalam mangkuk, cuci cumi dengan air bersih, kemudian beri air jeruk nipis, biarkan selama 15 menit.
- Tambahkan merica dan garam, campur kembali kedalam cumi. Biarkan selama 15 menit.
- Taburi dengan tepung maizena hingga cumi terbungkus tepung, simpan kedalam kulkas selama 30 menit atau lebih agar tepung menempel.
- Goreng cumi hingga garing, sisihkan.
- Di dalam wajan, tumis bawang, daun jeruk dan cabe rawit dengan sedikit minyak hingga harum dengan menggunakan api kecil.
- Tambahkan cabe hijau dan bawang daun, tumis kembali hingga layu.
- Tambahkan kecap manis dan kecap asin, aduk, kemudian masukkan cumi goreng, aduk rata.
- Tambahkan garam dan gula, cicipi.
- Matikan api, masukkan daun ketumbar, aduk rata. Sajikan bersama nasi hangat :-)

Beef Soup with coconut milk ( Soto Betawi )

What you need :

2 pieces chicken thigh or 2 cup sliced beef 
2 cup of water
1/2 cup coconut milk
salt and sugar for taste
1/2 teaspoon grated nutmeg
ground white pepper 

-- Seasoning Ingredients - finely chopped
5 cloves red pearl onion
3 cloves garlic 
5 pieces candlenuts
1/3 teaspoon ground turmeric or 1 cm fresh turmeric
1/3 teaspoon ground ginger or 1 cm fresh ginger 
1/3 teaspoon ground galangal or 1 cm fresh galagal
1/3 teaspoon ground lemongrass or 1 pieces fresh lemongrass
2 pieces lime leaves 
oil for saute 

-- Complements Ingredients :
1 stalk green onion, sliced thinly
egg, hard boiled, then sliced
potatoes, hard boiled, peeled then sliced 
tomatoes, sliced 
lemon lime, squeeze 
sweet soy sauce
sweet padi oat crackers or potato chips
fried red pearl onion 

Make it :

English version

1. In a hot skillet, saute seasoning ingredients with little bit of oil under low heat for approx 5 minutes or until aromatic. Set aside.
2. Meanwhile, bring water into broil in sauce-pan then add chicken and cook until tender. Then take chicken and cut into small chunk. Pour back into the gravy or set aside.
3. Add sauce ingredients into sauce-pan, stirring gently.
4. Add pepper, nutmeg.
5. Let it simmer for another 2 minutes.
6. Add coconut milk, stirring occasionally and let it cook and simmer for another 5 minutes also. 7. Adjust the taste with sugar and salt. Then remove from the heat.
8. In a bowl, put complements ingredients into bowl, then top off with soup.
9. Serve hot with hot steam rice ;-)

Indonesian Version :
1. Tumis bahan bumbu dengan menggunakan sedikit minyak hingga harum. Angkat dan sisihkan.
2. Didalam panci berisi air panas, rebus daging hingga lunak. Angkat, iris kecil-2 dan sisihkan. Bisa juga daging digoreng.
3. Didalam air kaldu, masukkan bumbu yang sudah ditumis, aduk rata.
4. Masukkan santan, aduk kembali, dan biarkan mendidih selama 5 menit.
5. Jangan lupa tambahkan merica, pala, garam, gula sebagai perasa.
6. Angkat sup dan sajikan hangat bersama bahan pelengkap+nasi panas :-)

Pisang Lapis Bubur Sumsum (Banana Cloud Cake)




My Grandmother cooked this for us. This food have softly and sweet taste.

What you need :

- 8 onz Rice Flour ready to use
- 1/2 cup coconut milk
- 1 cup water
- salt
- sugar
- 1 banana, steamed in about 5 minutes


Make it :

1. In a bowl, add 1/2 cup of water and rice flour, stir it until mix well. Put it aside.
2. In a sauce pan, boiled 1/2 cup water and mix with coconut milk .
3. While it boiled, add mix rice flour and water, and stirring occassionaly until mix well.
4. Then stirring gently and often until you feel the dough more weight or in approx 15 minutes under low heat.
5. Add sugar until you feel sweet enough and add pinch of salt.
6. Stirring gently then dough are ready.
7. Now, you have steamed banana and hot rice flour dough.
8. In a tray, put 1/2 hot rice flour dough. Add banana on top of it, then cover it with rest of hot rice flour dough.

Let it cool in about 10-15 minutes, then you can serve it :-)

Carrot, steamed
Squid, cut in little piece
Shrimps 
Imitation Crab Meat 
Green Paprika, slided 
Water Chestnuts

-- seasoning ingredients :
2 pcs tomatoes, sliced or you can substitute with 2 tsp ketchup 
1 tsp chili sauce
salt
pepper 
sugar
1 cube Chicken Flavor
1 tablespoon corn starch + 2 tablespoon water, in bowl, and dissolve it.
1 tablespoon oilve oil + 1 tablespoon sesame oil
1/2 cup diced onion
5 pieces garlic, minced
2 stalks green onion, cut into 1-inches pieces



Make it :

English version
1. Put Rice Noodles into boiled hot water until tender, drain and set aside.
2. In a wok, add little bit of oil and enough to fried the noodle, then fried until crispy.
3. Meanwhile, in another wok, saute onion + garlic with olive oil+sesame oil until aromatic under low heat or approx 2 min.
4. Add squids, imitation crab meat and shrimp until the color are changed or fully cook.
5. Add remaining seasoning ingredients into wok, saute gently.
6. Add salt, sugar and pepper for taste.
7. Add vegetables (carrot, broccoli and water chestnuts), saute for another 2 min.
8. Add mixing cornstarch and water into sauce for thickening.
9. Serve immediately with pour on top of fried rice noodles.

Indonesia version
1. Rebus mie hingga lunak, tiriskan. Bentuk bulat pipih dan goreng hingga renyah. Sisihkan dan simpan kedalam container.
2. Di dalam wajan, tumis bawang putih+bawang bombay dengan menggunakan campuran minyak+minyak wijen hingga harum, dengan menggunakan api kecil.
3. Masukan cumi, udang dan immitation crab, aduk hingga berubah warna.
4. Masukkan sisa bumbu, aduk rata.
5. Masukkan sayuran (brokoli, wortel, water chestnuts), aduk rata selama 2 menit.
6. Tambahkan garam, gula,merica untuk perasa.
7. Masukkan air+tepung maizena untuk pengental, aduk rata dan biarkan selama 1 menit. Angkat.
8. Hidangkan dengan menyiramkan diatas mie sesaat sebelom dihidangkan.

3 tsp Mae Ploy Sweet Chili sauce
1/4 cup of water
3 tsp fish sauce
3 pcs chicken thighs, prefered boneless and skinless, cut into 1/2 inch cubes
1/2 cup carrot, thinly sliced
1 can bamboo shoots, drained
2 green onion, cut into 1 inches pieces
1 cup fresh Basil, cut into strips
1 bell pepper, cut into 1 inches pieces
sugar
salt
oil for saute

Note : 1 cup US = 236.58 ml


Make it :

1. Combine sweet chili sauce, water, fish sauce and sugar in small bowl. Set aside.

2. Heat oil in wok or large, deep skilled over medium heat. Add chicken, stir-fry for 4 minutes or until chicken is no longer pink. Add bell pepper, carrot, bamboo shoots, green onion and chili sauce mixture.

3. Cook, stirring constantly for 3-5 minutes or until vegetables are crisp-tender and sauce starts to chicken.

4. Add basil, cook for 30 seconds or just until wilted.

5. Serve over hot steam rice :-)

Water Spinach sauteed with soy sauce ( Tumis Kangkung plus Tahu Goreng )

What you need :

a bunch of water spinach, cleaned, ends cut and sliced 1 inches-pieces
4 cloves shallot, thinly sliced
3 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
1/2 cup dried shrimp 
1 1/2 cups of water
2 pieces of bird eye chili pepper/Thai chili, chopped 
1 teaspoon of soy sauce
2 teaspoon ABC's sweet soy sauce
1 stalk green onion, sliced - separate between green part and white part 
salt for taste 
olive oil for saute

--Complement ingredients :
Shrimp Crackers
Fried Tofu

Make it :

English version
1. In a hot skillet, put shallot, garlic, white part of green onion and bird eye chili pepper with a little bit of olive oil, saute in approx 5 min.
2. add shrimps, shimmering until shrimps are cook or until the color are changed for approx 5 min.
3. add soy sauce, sweet soy sauce and water, mix well.
put water spinach, stirring occasionally until the vegetables are tender in Approx 15 minutes.
4. add salt for taste then add tomato and green part of green onion for the last.
5. Serve hot with hot steam rice ;-)

Indonesia version
1. Didalam wajan panas, masukkan minyak + bawang merah + bawang putih + cabai, tumis hingga harum atau kurang/lebih 5 menit dgn menggunakan api sedang.
2. Masukkan udang, tumis hingga berubah warna.
3. Masukkan kecap manis+ kecap asin+air, aduk rata hingga kuah panas.
4. Masukkan batang kangkung aduk rata, kemudian bagian daunnya. Aduk hingga rata dan kuah meresap.
5. Tambahkan garam sebagai perasa.
6. Masukkan tomat, aduk sebentar dan hidangkan.
7. Hidangkan bersama tahu goreng, nasi putih + kerupuk udang *-~

--- Bottom Layer ingredients :
1 cup Graham Cracker crumbs (about 9 double crackers)
1/4 cup light brown sugar
1/4 butter (1/2 stick), melted
--- Middle layer ingredients :
2 cups creamy peanut butter
2 cups sugar
2 ounces package cream cheese, room temperature
2 tsp (1/4 stick) butter, melted
2 tbsp vanilla
1 1/2 cups whipping cream
--- Top layer ingredients :
4 ounces semi sweet chocolate
3 tsp plus 2 tsp hot coffee

Make it :

English version
- Combine crumbs, brown sugar and 1/4 butter.
- Press into bottom and halfway up slides of 9 inch casserole dish.
- Beat peanut butter, sugar, cream cheese, butter and vanilla in a large bowl of electric mixer until smoth and creamy.Beat cream until soft peaks foam.
- Fold whipped cream into peanut butter mixture.
- Spoon into crust. 
- Refrigenerate 6 hours.
- Melt chocolate with coffe in double boiler over gently simmering water.
- Spread a top filling.

Proses bagian bawah pie :
- Campurkan bread crumbs + brown sugar dan 1/4 mentega yang sudah dilelehkan.
- Masukkan dan tekan kedalam bagian bawah loyang 9 inch.

Proses bagian tengah pie :
- Kocok dengan menggunakan mixer : peanut butter, gula, cream cheese, mentega dan vanilla didalam mangkuk besar hingga halus dan creamy.
- Tambahkan whpping cream, aduk hingga rata kedalam adonan.
- Tuangkan adonan diatas bagian bawah pie.
- Masukkan kedalam kulkas selama 6 jam.

Proses bagian atas pie :

2 cup of sliced sweet corn
2 cup brocoli
2 cup of sliced carrot
1/4 pcs Onion, sliced

English version
- In a wok, add butter and onion, saute continuesly under low heat in approx 5 min.
- Add carrot, sauted until carrot half cook.
- Add brocoli and sweet corn, sauted continuesly, in approx 5 min.
- Ready to serve.

1. Tumis mentega dan bawang bombay didalam wajan dengan menggunakan api kecil, selama 2 menit.
2. Masukkan wortel, jagung manis, aduk rata.

- 2/3 cup white sugar
- 3/4 cup all purpose flour
- 2 1/2 cup pototoes, hard boiled then smashed
- 3/4 cup butter, melted
- 2 btr egg500 ml milk
- 1/3 cup cheddar chesse, grated
- Raisin, put on top of the cake

Note : 1 cup US = 236,588 ml

Make it :

English version
- Beated sugar and milk until soft in approx 5 min
- Pour milk and potatoes, beate in medium speed until mix together.
- Add all purpose flour and left part from the milk, mix it.
- Add chesse, and melted butter, mix it.
- Put 3/4 from the dough at the tray.
- Add Raisin on top of cake.
- Pre-heat at 350 degrees F oven until done for approx 20 minutes.
- Let it warm before serve ^_*

Indonesian version
- Kocok gula dan telur sampai pucat dan mengembang

What you need :

- 200 gr tofu, sliced 
- 2 tsp sambal oeleg 
- 2 tsp peanut butter 
- 2 cloves of shallots, sliced thinly 
- 1 cloves of garlic, sliced thinly 
- vegetables ( i used broccoli and baby carrot), steamed 
- oil for saute 
- water 
- salt

Make it :

- put tofu at a tray, bake over the oven for 20 minutes until brown at both sides. 
- in the pan, sambal oeleg, shallots and garlic saute with a little bit of oil approx for 1-2 min. 
- add peanut butter, salt and water, saute in low heat until mix well.
- put tofu over the pan and sauce until water dissolve for another 10 minutes. 
- in a plate put steamed vegetables, then pour tofu with the sauce.
- and ready to serve with a bowl of steamed rice.

What you need :

--Tofu Ball ingredients :
- 100 gr firm tofu
- 2 cloves garlic, shredded
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon corn starch
- salt
- ground pepper

--Soup ingredients :
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 pcs green chili, seeded, slice thinly - if you are desire
- bok choy and carrot, or any vegetable
- 2 cup chicken broth
- salt
- ground pepper

Make it :

English version :
- Combine tofu ball ingredients in large bowl. Mix thoroughly. Shape into 1-inch balls. 
Place in steamer. Steam for 10 minutes. Set aside.
- Meanwhile, i a pot bring broth to broil. Add garlic and onion. Let it cooke for another 5 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper. Add carrot, let it cook until almost tender then add bok choy and chili. Let it cook for another 2 minutes.
- Transfer to prepared dish and add tofu ball. Serve hot.

Indonesia version 
- Campur tahu, bawang putih, telur, merica, garam, tepung maizena. Campur rata kemudian bentuk bulat-2. Letakkan didalam wadah untuk mengukus. Kukus selama 10 menit. Sisihkan.
- Didalam panci, rebus kaldu hingga mendidih. Masukkan bawang putih dan bawang bombay. Biarkan masak selama 5 menit.
- Masukkan wortel, masak hingga hampir lunak. Masukkan bok choy dan cabe hijau, garam dan merica. Masak selama 2 menit.
- Pindahkan kedalam mangkuk saji bersama bola tahu. Sajikan hangat.

1 pieces chicken thigh, cube sliced 
4 cloves shallots, minced

2 cup broccoli, cut the edges, half cooked steamed
2 cup carrot, diced, half cooked steamed 
1 stalk green onion, thinly sliced

2 teaspoon Oyster Sauce 
1 tablespoon ABC's sweet soy sauce 
1 tablespoon soy sauce 
butter or oil for saute 
1 cup of water

Make it :

English version
- In a hot skillet, add sliced chicken, stirring occasionally without an oil until the chicken cooked in approx 5 minutes. Put aside.
- Meanwhile in another hot skillet, add butter, shallots, garlic, stirring occasionally for approx 5 min under low heat.
- Then add cooked chicken, water, Oyster sauce, sweet soy sauce and soy sauce, saute contiunuously until aromatic or for approx 5 minutes.
- Let it simmer, add broccoli, carrot, green onion, onion stirring occasionally until mix well for approx 3 min.
- Add pepper and salt for adjust the taste.
-  add mixed cornstarch+water for thickening the sauce. Saute and let it simmer for another 1 minute.

--Ingredients A :
2 pieces chicken thigh
2 cup of water

--Ingredients B :
4 cloves small red onion, minced
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon ground garlic
1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric
1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
olive oil, for saute

--Ingredients C :
salt
1 pieces green onion
celery, sliced
carrot, sliced
cauliflower, sliced

egg, hard boiled then sliced
lemon lime squeeze

Make it :

English version
- In a pot, boil the chicken until cook under medium heat for approx 10 minutes. Drain the chicken and then cut into small chunk then put it to pot. Put it aside.

2 teaspoon sambal oeleg or 2 pieces Thai chili then finely chopped - as you wish

Make it :

English version
- In a hot skillet, add sambal oeleg, shallots with a bit of oil, saute approx. 1-2 min or until aromatic under low heat.

- Then add coconut milk, stir it evenly, until all the liquid absorb.

Pondan's Steam Rice Cup ( Pondan Kue Mangkok )

I got this cup cake mix from Asian Store at Goleta (Santa Barbara). We found this at Asian Store. The Store are next to USCIS Goleta while i got appointment for my Green Card Application.

I miss this cake, so i bought the cake mix and it's so easy to make it.
So, i don't give you the ingredients and direction, cause you can follow the instruction behind the box ;-)


Chicken Steam cooked with Coconut Milk and Basil ( Pepes Ayam tanpa daun pisang )


This food should be wrap with banana leaf. But I don't have banana leaf in home, so i place this food into container while i steamed.

Make it :

1. Combine and finely chopped or you can use chopper seasoning ingredients. Set aside.

4. In a container, place chicken then add basil and green onion.

1 cup of dried mushroom, before cooking, put over cold water for 30 minutes then clean it.
1 egg, shake well in a bowl.
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 pcs green onion
2 cup water or chicken stock
1 tbsp Knorr Chicken Flavor (optional)
1 cup carrot
oil
salt

Make it :

- In a pan, stir garlic with a little bit of oil for 1-2 minutes. put it a large pan with boiled water.
- Add Knorr Chicken Flavor, green onion until water boil.
- Add sliced tofu + carrot and mushroom, saute it for approx 10 minutes.
- Add salt for taste.
- Pour shakes egg into soup and saute it.
- Food are ready for serve :-)

- 100 gram rice noodles, boiled in hot water 
- 1 stalk green onion, thinly slice
- 1 stalk celery, thinly slice
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 2 cup water or chicken broth
- salt
- pepper
- bok choy

--steamed dumplings(siomay) ingredients :
- 2 teaspoon all purpose flour
- 2 teaspoon corn starch
- salt and ground pepper
- 2 cloves garlic, shredded
- 1/2 cup shredded carrot
- wonton wraps
- 1 egg
- 1 stalk green onion, sliced thinly.
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil


Make it :

English version
1. Combine and mix well wonton ingredients into a bowl. Don't forget to taste.
2. To fill the wontons, lay one won ton skin in front of you.Moisten all the edges of the won ton wrapper with water. Place a heaping teaspoon of won ton filling in the center.
Fold the wonton wrapper in half lengthwise, making sure the ends meet. Press down firmly on the ends to seal. Repeat with remaining wontons.
3. Place into prepared steamer, steam for 10 minutes. Set aside.
4. Meanwhile, in a pot bring broth into broil. Add garlic and onion. Let it cook for another 5 minutes.
5. Add noodles, cook until almost tender. Add bok choy, salt and pepper. Let it cook for 2 minutes.
6. Transfer to serving bowl and add wonton. Serve hot :-)
