Pisang Lapis Bubur Sumsum (Banana Cloud Cake)




My Grandmother cooked this for us. This food have softly and sweet taste.

Here, I will share the recipe with you and maybe give you some ideas.

What you need :

- 8 onz Rice Flour ready to use
- 1/2 cup coconut milk
- 1 cup water
- salt
- sugar
- 1 banana, steamed in about 5 minutes


Make it :

1. In a bowl, add 1/2 cup of water and rice flour, stir it until mix well. Put it aside.
2. In a sauce pan, boiled 1/2 cup water and mix with coconut milk .
3. While it boiled, add mix rice flour and water, and stirring occassionaly until mix well.
4. Then stirring gently and often until you feel the dough more weight or in approx 15 minutes under low heat.
5. Add sugar until you feel sweet enough and add pinch of salt.
6. Stirring gently then dough are ready.
7. Now, you have steamed banana and hot rice flour dough.
8. In a tray, put 1/2 hot rice flour dough. Add banana on top of it, then cover it with rest of hot rice flour dough.

Let it cool in about 10-15 minutes, then you can serve it :-)


Preparation Time : 5 min
Cooking Time : 20 min

Servings : 5-6 slices
